Each textbook in the New Directions in Social Work Series is supported and extended by the wide selection of instructor resources found on Routledge’s Instructor Hub. When combined with the corresponding text and the resources on this website, these additional resources can support instructors with different course formats, teaching strategies, learning styles, and desired outcomes. Content varies for each book but may include:
Lecture slides
- Lecture slides provide overviews of the main concepts discussed within each chapter, along with visuals, graphs, and discussion questions to help guide and supplement your class lectures.
Test Materials
- Exam questions for each chapter may include a mix of multiple-choice and open-ended questions and are designed to assess students’ comprehension and knowledge of the material covered in the book. Sample versions of midterm and final exams, with an answer key, may also be provided.
Recommended Readings
- Suggestions for readings to extend and deepen understanding of themes covered within the books. Carefully curated by the authors, the recommended readings highlight recent research on changes within the world of social work and complement sample syllabi (if available).
